Kirk Bowden, D.O., is a fellowship-trained physician specializing in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of chronic pain. Dr. Bowden has been heavily involved with medical research and published several articles on advanced pain management techniques in peer-reviewed medical journals. He also has extensive experience performing a wide variety of interventional procedures as well as medical management of complex chronic pain patients.
Dr. Bowden completed his pre-medical studies at Brigham Young University-Hawaii in Laie, Hawaii, graduating cum laude with a bachelor’s of science degree. He earned his medical degree from the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in Glendale, Ariz.
Following graduation from medical school he completed an internship in internal medicine from Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix, Ariz. He then completed a residency in Anesthesiology at the University of Arizona Medical Center in Tucson, Ariz., where he was awarded the prestigious Burnell R. Brown, M.D, PhD, FFARCS, award for outstanding resident. He completed his fellowship in pain medicine at Loma Linda University, Center for Pain Management in Loma Linda, Calif. He is fluent in Spanish and English.
Dr. Bowden maintains memberships with the American Society of Anesthesiologists, American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, North American Neuromodulation Society and American Osteopathic Association.
